Precision Parametric 3D Modeling for Manufacturing
I can create precise, dimension-driven 3D models focused on functional, non-organic designs. My expertise is in parametric modeling, which means your designs are not only accurate but also easily adaptable for future iterations and modifications. I specialize in hard-surface objects like mechanical components, custom jigs, product enclosures, and architectural elements. I mainly design in solidworks, but also have experience with fusion 360, AutoCAD, and Onshape.
My design process is built around manufacturability:
For CNC Manufacturing: I design with subtractive manufacturing in mind. Models are created to respect toolpaths, stock material, and required tolerances, ensuring a smooth transition from digital file to a physically milled or lathed part. I deliver clean, CAM-ready files (e.g., STEP, IGES).
For 3D Printing (Additive Manufacturing): Models are optimized for a successful print. I ensure every design is a watertight (manifold) mesh, with appropriate wall thickness, and careful consideration for overhangs and print orientation to minimize supports and ensure structural integrity.
