I always pictures the flying sword as being an unstable thing propelled chaotically through the air by raw magic arcing from the blade. MY interpretation might be a little different, but hopefully it makes for an interesting model!
There are two versions available, I consistently found that printing the weapon would result in the lower part of the hand-guard being misprinted. The supported version fixes this by adding a small cylinder which can be chopped off post printing.
The painted examples were printed on an ender 3 and painted with games workshop paints.
