surprise your friends when it flies out of a letter, book, card, magazine, etc. There are so many kinds of these butterfly toys, and you can get it easily from the Internet.
I designed a fully 3d printed and rubber band-powered flying butterfly like the Magic Butterfly.
And it was designed to fit the 30mm long rubber band. So, this is much smaller(65mm wide x 60mm tall) and lighter(about 850mg) than other fliers.

Materials and Tools
. Rubber Bands : 30mm long (lay flat length) and 1.4mm thick
. Aluminum(coke or beer) can, and scissors
. 1.5mm drill bit and hand chuck
. A small file or sandpapers
. Some Super Glue (CA)
Remove remnants of 1st layer and lightly sand it to smooth out part of the 3D printed pieces.
the upper wings should be twisted in order to act as a propeller.
. Wind the upper wings 30~40 times.
. Let go, butterfly will fly up, or place in a card , a book or under an object. When released, it will fly.
