I've found is this on reddit:
Ideally, as you know
1 Bar = 20 Strips = 2000 Slips (i.e 20 x 100)
then all you need to do is ascertain one of those values (ideally). http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Latinum shows all the purchases through DS9.
For sake of argument, let's value Quarks at $1,000,000. 1,000,000 / 5000 would then equal:
1 bar at $200
1 Strip at $10
1 Slip at $0.10
This value:
A dress from Garak's at $170
A Holosuite program at $100 - $200
A wrappage of Yamok sauce at $0.16
A day's business in Quarks at $1000
Although I've tried to get close to accurate, I'm far more interested in just getting close and having fun. Print some of these out for your fan film or for the convention.
