UPDATED: I got the angles on the "Hexhub" the wrong way round, so I've updated the STL & openSCAD files.

I've also added base hubs (There...Показать больше
are two types - Mirror images of each other) to make a dome on a flat surface.

I've also added a marker on the hubs [Hex and Base] to indicate which holes require the shorter stuts to make construction easier.

I wanted to learn openSCAD, so I've had a quick play at making hubs for a GeoDome (Apologies if the openSCAD code is a bit messy - I'm still learning!)

My version is low profile with 1mm walls (you can adjust the wall size in the script) - I've also added screw holes to add a small screw to secure the strut to the hubs.

To make a dome, you need 26 connectors (20 hexagons and 6 pentagons) and 65 struts (35 of length A(100%) and 30 of length B(113%)).

Dome:

Struts:
A 35x100%
B 30x113%

Hubs:
5way (Penthub) 6x
6way (Hexhub) 20x
(I'll make a 4way one day which would replace 10 of the 6way hubs at the base)

To make a full sphere, you only need six more pentagons (32 connectors in total) and 60 each of strut length A(100%) and B(113%).

Sphere:

Struts:
A 60x100%
B 60x113%

Hubs:
5way (Penthub) 12x
6way (Hexhub) 20x

My openSCAD file use 9mm holes for the struts but this is easy to change in the scripts.
